        Your adventure begins as you land at Quito International Airport. We're excited to have you here in Ecuador. Our experienced team will ensure a smooth journey to your selected Quito hotel. Get ready to explore the bustling streets and tranquil neighbourhoods.

      • Day 2 Discover Quilotoa Lagoon and Indigenous Villages

        After a two-hour drive from Quito, our first stop will leave you breathless at the Cañón del Río Toachi. If you're joining us on a Thursday, you'll kick off your day with a visit to the vibrant local market of Saquisilí, while on Sundays, the bustling market of Pujilí awaits. For other days, our guide will uncover unique local experiences for you.

        As you journey through indigenous villages, the scenery will captivate you. Witness the daily life of locals, offering a unique and introspective perspective on their culture.

        Arriving at Quilotoa Lagoon, your jaw will drop at the sight of the volcanic crater. You can embark on a two-hour hike down to the water's edge and back up, soaking in the stunning views. If the ascent feels too challenging, you have the option to hire a mule for part of the journey.

        Before we head back to Quito, savour a delicious local lunch, a perfect way to end this day of discovery.

      • Day 3 Journey to La Selva Lodge

        Your adventure continues as we make the journey from Quito to the stunning La Selva Lodge, nestled in the heart of the Amazon Basin.

        Departing from Quito's airport a 30-minute flight over the Andes Mountains leads you to Coca, a bustling oil town in the Amazon Basin. From there, we'll take you to the dock, where a 2-hour motorised canoe ride down the Napo River awaits. Your journey continues with a paddle canoe, completing the final leg to La Selva. Once you get to the lodge, you'll have the chance to explore local trails. After a delicious dinner, you can experience the enchanting Amazon jungle during a night walk.

      • Day 4 Unveiling Yasuni National Park

        Rise and shine for an early breakfast, as today promises an exciting adventure in Yasuni National Park.

        Start your day with a brisk 20-minute walk, to reach the Observation Tower. This incredible structure elevates you 120 feet above the forest, a perfect vantage point for spotting the vibrant birds of the Amazon. Your guide will share insights about the various medicinal plants along the way.

        In the afternoon, you'll embark on the Charapa Trail, a captivating journey that begins at the lodge and winds its way to the lagoon's edge. This circular path is a favourite among the diverse mammals, monkeys, and birds who come closer to the lagoon during this time, searching for nourishment. It's also a fantastic opportunity to witness an Amazonian sunset from a canoe on the water.

        Before dinner, don't miss the chance to set out on a night canoe ride. Guided by spotlights, you'll navigate the lagoon by canoe, searching for the nocturnal wonders of the jungle.

        In between these action-packed activities, take advantage of your free time. You can paddle out on kayaks, cool off with a swim in the lagoon, indulge in a soothing massage, or simply unwind in your room for a well-deserved nap.

      • Day 5 Exploring Coto Trail, Parrot Clay Lick & Embracing Kichua Culture

        Journey to the Napo River, where a motorised canoe ride awaits to take us to the mesmerising clay licks. This is one of nature's most captivating displays, as hundreds of parrots and parakeets congregate to feast on mineral-rich soil, a vital part of their diet. Don't forget your binoculars to truly savour this remarkable moment.

        Following the clay licks, we'll provide you with a unique Cultural Activity. At the community center, you'll be warmly welcomed by an Amazonian Kichua woman, who will offer insights into the Kichua way of life in the Amazon.

        A delicious lunch sets the stage for your afternoon adventure on the Coto Trail. This fantastic walk departs from the lodge, leading you to the edge of Garzacocha Lagoon. Keep an eye out for groups of black-mantled tamarin monkeys, and if you're lucky, you might even spot a tapir!

      • Day 6 Farewell to the Amazon

        Begin your day with an early breakfast, followed by a departure from the lodge at 7:00 AM. Take a leisurely walk on the boardwalk to bid farewell to the monkeys, savouring one last glimpse of these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.

        You'll make your way to Coca, where we'll ensure a smooth transition to the Coca Airport. From here, you'll embark on your flight back to Quito. 

      • Day 7 Welcome to the Galapagos

        Embark on a flight from Quito to the Galapagos. 

        Upon arriving in Santa Cruz, we'll provide you with private transportation to the charming town of Puerto Ayora, a scenic journey lasting about 45 minutes. But before you reach your destination, we have a special treat in store.

        On your way to Puerto Ayora, we'll make a stop in the highlands of Santa Cruz, one of the best places to witness the majestic Giant Tortoise in its natural habitat. The ranch you'll visit offers a unique opportunity for up-close encounters with these gentle giants. As you explore, you'll also have the chance to spot various Galapagos finches and other land birds, which you wouldn't typically find near the shore. This is an experience surrounded by endemic vegetation that you won't want to miss.

      • Day 8 Uncover an Uninhabited Paradise

        Today is your chance to uncover the hidden gems of the Galapagos by visiting one of its uninhabited islands. 

        Whichever island you embark on, you're in for a day of exploration. This navigable day tour offers a land hike, where you'll uncover the island's unique features and its incredible wildlife. A snorkelling adventure is also on the agenda, providing you with a glimpse of the vibrant underwater world that surrounds these pristine islands.

        In the afternoon, you'll return to Puerto Ayora, where you'll be dropped off at the public pier. From there, you can choose to stroll back to your hotel, taking in the relaxed and charming atmosphere of Puerto Ayora. Alternatively, you can opt for a taxi ride, leaving you with the evening to savour the small-town lifestyle of this delightful Galapagos town.

      • Day 9 Exploring the Charles Darwin Research Station

        Today, you'll embark on an educational journey to the renowned Charles Darwin Research Station, a hub of international non-profit research dedicated to the Galapagos Islands since 1959. Their unwavering mission is to provide scientific knowledge and technical expertise to promote and ensure the conservation of the Galapagos.

        During your visit, you'll delve into the fascinating world of conservation and gain insights into their efforts to protect the iconic giant tortoises, a symbol of the Galapagos. This enlightening experience will also provide a glimpse into the broader history of the islands. 

        Later, a scenic journey awaits you as you board the public speedboat for the trip from Puerto Ayora to San Cristobal, a journey of approximately 2.5 hours.

        Upon your arrival at the San Cristobal dock, an English-speaking guide will be there to greet you. They'll ensure a smooth transition as you journey to your hotel in the charming village of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.

      • Day 10 Snorkeling and Exploring Kicker Rock

        Today, your adventure continues with a thrilling visit to Kicker Rock, one of the most magnificent sights in the Galapagos Islands.

        This unique rock formation, situated in the midst of the ocean, is a haven for a diverse array of marine birds and an incredible underwater world making it the perfect place for a snorkelling exploration. The natural erosion of this ancient volcanic cone has formed a channel between the rocks, creating the perfect habitat for a variety of sharks, manta rays, and other marine creatures.

        As your unforgettable journey through the Galapagos Islands comes to an end, we'll ensure your smooth departure.
