Transfer from Colonia to Carmelo, known as the Uruguayan little Tuscany, located 77 km to the north. Today we will explore the essence of Carmelo: its charming eno-gastronomic region. We will visit some of its wineries, taste their wines, learn about their production processes and round off the experience with a paired lunch inside one of the local bodegas.

Return to the hotel in Colonia.

Transfer from Colonia to Montevideo. After check-in, we will begin a guided city tour covering the main highlights of the capital: the Historic Centre and Ciudad Vieja, Plaza Independencia, the impressive Teatro Solís, the modern district of Punta Carretas, the elegant Carrasco neighbourhood, the sweeping coastal Rambla, and the iconic Estadio Centenario.

An ideal tour to discover Montevideo’s history, architecture and everyday life, blending tradition and modernity along the Río de la Plata.

We will enjoy a full-day tour visiting two wineries in the Canelones region, considered the true heart of Uruguayan wine, home to around 66% of the country’s vineyard area and more than 60% of its wineries. Grapevines arrived with European immigrants, giving rise to a long-standing family tradition that today cultivates varieties such as Tannat, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay and Albariño.

On this day, we will experience two of Uruguay’s finest wineries: Pizzorno and Spinoglio. At the first, we will enjoy a guided visit and wine tasting, while at the second we will complement the visit with a paired lunch.

Transfer from Montevideo to Punta del Este. Along the way, we will stop in the Atlántida area, in Canelones, for a visit and tasting at Winery Bracco Bosca.

Located just 8 km from the sea, in an environmentally protected area, this family-run winery blends tradition and innovation, preserving the identity passed down through five generations. Their wines are 100% sustainably certified, crafted in small batches that reflect the boutique, artisanal character of their production.

Early in the morning, we will embark on a city tour of Punta del Este, often referred to as the Saint-Tropez of Uruguay for its stunning beaches, elegant resorts and sophisticated coastal lifestyle.

We will explore its beautiful residential neighbourhoods, cross the undulating bridges of La Barra, visit the peninsula and its vibrant waterfront, and admire the yachts moored in the marina. The tour continues to Punta Ballena, offering breathtaking views and the chance to visit Casapueblo, the iconic architectural masterpiece created by artist Carlos Páez Vilaró, an evocative blend of Mediterranean inspiration and Greek island aesthetics, home today to a museum, art gallery, hotel and restaurant.

Afterwards, we will head into the emerging wine region of Maldonado, where a new generation of young wineries is shaping fresh terroirs and crafting distinctive wines. Unlike the more traditional wine areas visited earlier, these boutique wineries represent innovation, experimentation and the future of Uruguayan viticulture.

Here we will enjoy a guided visit, wine tasting, activity and a brunch Style at Winery at the selected winery, before returning to the hotel.
