Built by the Spanish on the remains of Inca temples and palace, Cusco Peru is home to great museums, wonderful monuments and pretty cobblestone streets.

Indeed, many of the Incas architectures treasures are still in an excellent shape so walking around Cusco feels like stepping into History. The city's buzzing centre is marked by Plaza de Armas, Cusco’s main square and from there, all the main sights are easily accessible at walking distances.

The Sacred Valley is an absolute must-do in Peru for hiking lovers. Starting at only 20kms from Cusco and spreading over 100 km, the Sacred Valley is full of stone terraces, Incan ruins, rich culture and mysteries. Make sure to visit the main sites like Pisac, Chinchero or Moray.

Hang out in San Blas

The trendy neighbourhood allows you to enjoy a less crowded Cusco and is home to the best cafes, small boutiques and the most scenic bars. On Saturday morning, make sure to visit the Artisan Market to buy fresh food, jewellery and artisan crafts.
Visit Koricancha

Located in San Domingo plaza, the temple of the sun and Iglesia de Santo Domingo are two of the most sacred places of the Inca empire. This place is fascinating as it’s the living example of the Hispanic brutal conquest in Cusco and allows its visitors to learn more about this tumultuous History
Enjoy the small town of Pisac

Pisac is an excellent option if you want to get off the beaten path and have a better understanding of the day to day life in Peru. Make sure you attend the Sunday market to buy your souvenirs and climb the Pisac ruins, one of the most intact ancient sites.
Discover the colorful culture of Chinchero

Chinchero is home to a Quechua community who uses an ancestral technique to weave that is passed down from generation to generation. Their knowledge is recognized worldwide and attracts thousands of tourists throughout the year. You can also give it a try yourself on one of the weaving cooperatives.
See the Maras Salt Mines

In Maras, they still practice the ancient tradition of using pre-Inca salt ponds. Each family who lives nearby owns its own pod so they can harvest salt. In addition to being very good for health, this pink salt offers a spectacular scenery to the visitors.
Via ferrata and ziplining in the Sacred Valley

Climb the Rainbow Mountains

Until 2015, when the snow started to melt to reveal the splendid colours of the rocks beneath, Vinicunca was unknown from the world. Today, the Mountain of Seven Colors is on every traveller’s list of things to do in Peru but make sure you’re prepared for the altitude as its summit is at 5,200 metres above sea level.
